Privacy Policy

Sleigh List is made by Allyson Clark, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Sleigh List app and this website collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: no ads, no tracking, no selling data. We keep only what the app needs to save your list and your season pass.
What we collect
Without an account. You can browse movies, community ratings and where to stream without signing up. The app creates an anonymous account ID behind the scenes so your list can be saved. It is not linked to your name or email.
Your list. If you have a season pass, we store what you add: movies you have watched (with dates and how many times), your star ratings, your private notes and the movies you save. Notes are visible only to you.
Community ratings. Your star ratings count toward each movie’s average rating. Other people see only the average and the number of ratings, never who rated what.
Season pass purchases. When you buy or restore a pass, we receive from Apple the purchase’s transaction ID, product, date and whether it was a test purchase, so we can confirm it and unlock the pass. We never see your payment details. Apple handles all payments.
Backup with Sign in with Apple (optional). If you back up your list, we receive an identifier from Apple and, if you choose to share it, your email address. If you choose “Hide My Email”, we receive a private relay address from Apple instead. We use these only to sign you in and restore your list. We do not send you marketing email.
On your phone only. Your country setting and the streaming services you pick in filters are stored on your device and are not sent to us.
No analytics or advertising. The app has no ads, no advertising IDs, no analytics or tracking tools, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Services that help run Sleigh List
- Supabase stores your account and list and runs the purchase check.
- Apple processes purchases and Sign in with Apple.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website and the movie list file the app downloads.
- Movie of the Night (Streaming Availability API) provides streaming information and movie posters. Posters load from their servers, which therefore see your device’s IP address, as any website would. We do not send them any information about you.
When the app opens a streaming service’s link, that service’s own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
We keep your list for as long as your account exists, so it is still there next Christmas. If you delete your account, your list, ratings, notes and saves are deleted straight away. We keep the record of a purchase (transaction ID, product and date, without a link to your account) so the pass can still be restored and for our accounting records.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete account and data. This permanently deletes your account and list.
- Sign out of your backup at any time in Settings.
- Access, correct or get a copy of your data, or ask any question about it: email support@sleighlist.app.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, data portability and objection. We process your data to provide the app you asked for (performance of a contract) and to prevent purchase fraud (legitimate interest). You can complain to your local data protection authority. In Finland, this is the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Children
Sleigh List is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
